Microsoft announced Copilot Health, a separate and secure area within Copilot that aggregates personal health data to generate personalized insights, and it is opening a waitlist in the US for adults aged 18 and older.
Microsoft said the service can pull data from over 50 wearable devices.
It can also access electronic health records from over 50,000 US hospitals and provider organizations via HealthEx, and lab results from Function.
Additionally, it supports integrations with devices such as Apple Health, Oura, and Fitbit.
Microsoft said Copilot Health is meant to help users prepare for clinical visits and is not a replacement for medical care.
Copilot Health conversations and data are isolated from general Copilot, protected with encryption at rest and in transit, and secured with strict access controls.
They can be managed, deleted, or disconnected at any time, and information in Copilot Health is not used to train models.
The product was developed with its internal clinical team, informed by an external panel of more than 230 physicians from over 24 countries, and that the service has ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
