Won-Joon Choi, chief operating officer of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience Business, said the AI revolution is “unavoidable” and will affect every aspect of human life.
He said organizations beyond IT such as medicine, law, and HR must prepare for widespread change.
Choi acknowledged large tech investments in AI and said the technology is still at an early stage.
He said AI features may feel overwhelming now but will become integrated into devices and user interfaces over time.
Samsung said it plans to bring AI features to 800 million devices by the end of this year, up from 400 million devices last year.
The company said it has adopted a hybrid model that combines on-device processing with cloud services and is open to third-party solutions, noting a partnership with Perplexity and referencing Gemini.
Samsung said sensitive data will be stored on devices, not in the cloud, to protect privacy. It plans to expand local language support and partner on agentic AI features.
