Westlake Robotics, a Chinese robotics company, unveiled a humanoid robot called Titan o1 that it said is empowered by its independently developed “General Action Expert” foundation model for real-time motion imitation.
At a demonstration in Hangzhou, an operator wearing a motion-capture suit waved, turned, and kicked a ball while the robot mirrored the movements within milliseconds.
Founder Wang Donglin said the system can adapt to different operators and changing motions, and described the model as a “general-purpose cerebellum” for coordinating balance and movement.
The company also said one operator could run multiple robots doing the same task, and that the model can be deployed across robots with different structures and sizes.
