Cryptocurrency is now being accepted by 360 Private Travel as a form of payment for travel bookings, the home-based network has confirmed.

“To keep things secure and predictable, we accept stablecoins combining the innovation of digital currency with the reassurance of price stability,” the company said. “With this move, we’re aiming to give everyone more flexibility in how they pay, while maintaining the trust, transparency, and efficiency you expect when booking high-value travel.”

General Manager Australia Leah Greengarten told LATTE that the new crypto policy applies to 360’s global network, which extended to Australia last year, and described it as “forward thinking”.

“This is just 360’s way of keeping at the top of our game,” she said. “It’s another value-add for our clients.”

For advisors who may be uncertain about how they will receive commission on crypto payments, she offered reassurance. “It’s not difficult at all,” she said. “The client pays in crypto and then someone in our finance team transfers that into dollars. And then our agents get paid their usual commission.”

Supported digital currencies include stablecoins USDC (USD Coin) and USDT (Tether) which are both linked to the US dollar which helps “avoid major price fluctuations”, according to 360.

The company also highlighted the speed of transacting as a plus, with fast wallet-to-wallet transfers “often quicker than traditional bank payments”.
