South Korea’s science ministry said an international standards group has approved the development of a proposed new cloud computing standard.
The proposal was accepted at the ISO/IEC cloud computing standards meeting in Jeju.
The standard describes how AI systems are structured and run in cloud environments, including how AI applications, systems, and components relate, and how large training workloads can be allocated in the cloud.
Delegates also began talks on possible new standards for purpose-specific clouds and cloud-based metaverse services, while the agency head said the government will keep working on standards it says can help local firms.
