Daegu Metropolitan City announced on the 2nd that it will operate the online English learning service “Daegu Smart Listening.” Based on EBS English learning content, the online learning platform is available free of charge to all citizens. Supporting both PC and mobile environments, it allows users to study English without constraints of time or place. Key content includes EBS Special Lecture for the College Scholastic Ability Test & Completion, Actual Practice Mock Exam, EBS Elementary Homeschool, and EBS English Academy.
In addition to existing listening-focused learning, the service has introduced word-learning and artificial intelligence (AI) conversation features. The new word-learning service is structured to help users master vocabulary from multiple angles through eight types of questions and customized word lists, enabling repeated study. The AI conversation feature allows users to listen to and repeat English phrases, self-evaluating their pronunciation and speaking skills.
A reward system that accumulates “study points” based on problem-solving and participation rates will also be operated to enhance continuous engagement and learning motivation.
