Late-night host Jon Stewart identified himself as the model for a gaunt figure in an AI-generated meme shared by Donald Trump during the Monday, April 13, 2026, episode of The Daily Show. Stewart used the broadcast to analyze the digital artwork, which depicts the former president as a messianic figure or physician healing the sick.

During the segment, Stewart highlighted a bearded man lying in a hospital bed who bears a physical resemblance to the comedian. The host reacted with mock horror to his inclusion in the scene, which was originally intended to project religious or authoritative imagery by the Trump campaign.

“I didn’t realize my look had reached leper territory,” said Stewart, The Daily Show host, while joking about his aging appearance compared to his earlier career. He noted that the AI software appeared to have used his likeness to represent an infirm individual in the propaganda piece.

The comedian further dissected the image by humorously identifying other figures in the background as his family members. He suggested that the AI had generated his wife, Amy Lynne, and his brother as participants in the fabricated scene alongside the former president.

Stewart also critiqued the technical limitations of the artificial intelligence used to create the meme. He observed that while the software could generate supernatural elements like fireworks and healing powers, it seemingly failed to alter the former president’s physical weight as requested.

The segment referenced a recurring feature on the show titled “Jesus or Trump?” where audiences guess the origin of specific quotes. According to Art Threat, the host’s reaction serves as commentary on the increasing use of digital manipulation in modern political messaging.

The episode , which aired as Season 31, Episode 43 on Comedy Central, concluded Stewart’s analysis of the meme’s impact on public perception. The host noted that the image marks a shift toward using AI to blur the lines between political rhetoric and religious imagery.
